2. Place a clean rag under the open end of the gauge manifold center fitting hose.
3. Slowly open the high pressure inlet valve to gradually draw the refrigerant out of the system.
Caution: if the refrigerant is to be pumped out very quickly (quick release of pressure), compressor oil may be ejected from the system.
4. Check the rags for compressor oil stains (those. oil outlet with refrigerant). If the rag is oily, carefully close the high pressure fitting valve.
5. If the gauge manifold gauge reading drops below 350 kPa, slowly open the low pressure fitting valve.
6. Slowly open the valves on the low and high pressure lines to reduce system pressure until the pressure gauge reads 0 kPa.
