Causes of malfunctions and methods for their elimination
Attention:
- The numbers indicate the sequence of the test.
- Replace or repair defective parts.
No air cooling (air is supplied)
1. The compressor electromagnetic clutch does not turn on.
- A) Check fuse.
- b) Check the air conditioner switch.
- V) Check the triple refrigerant pressure switch.
- G) Check thermal switch.
- d) Check the A/C compressor relay.
- e) Check compressor magnetic clutch.
- and) Check the air conditioner control unit.
2. Not enough refrigerant in the system - check the amount of refrigerant and top up the system with refrigerant.
3. Blocked receiver dryer - check receiver dryer.
4. Uneven rotation of the compressor pulley - check the tension of the compressor drive belt and adjust the belt tension.
5. Low compression in the compressor - check the compressor.
6. Control valve blocked.
Poor cooling
1. Not enough refrigerant in the system - check the amount of refrigerant and top up the system with refrigerant.
2. Blocked receiver dryer - check receiver dryer.
3. Dirty air conditioner condenser surface - Check the surface of the condenser fins and clean the surface.
4. Excess refrigerant in the air conditioning system - check the amount of refrigerant in the system and remove the excess.
5. Uneven rotation of the compressor pulley - check the tension of the compressor drive belt and adjust the belt tension.
6. Low compression in the compressor - check the compressor.
7. Air in the air conditioning system - measure the pressure and create a vacuum (evacuation), charge the system with refrigerant.
8. Clogged expansion valve.
Insufficient air flow
1. Leaks at duct connections - check duct connections.
2. Frost on evaporator - check thermal switch.
3. Faulty fan motor - check fan motor.
Cold air is supplied intermittently
1. Air in the air conditioning system - measure the pressure and create a vacuum (evacuation), charge the system with refrigerant.
2. Defective expansion valve.
