2. Using the special tool, install the oil seal (A) into the steering gear housing in the position shown in the figure.

3. Apply working fluid (PSF-3) to the entire surface of the rack seal bushing.
4. Install the seal (A) into the rack bushing (B).

5. Apply the working fluid to the entire surface of the sealing ring and install the ring into the rack bushing.
6. Apply grease to the rack teeth (Universal grease SAEJ310a, NLGI #2 EP) of the specified brand.
Note: Be careful not to clog the rack ventilation hole (A) with grease.

7. Insert the rack into the steering gear housing, insert the rack sleeve and move it inward until it aligns with the hole in the housing groove, then secure the sleeve.
8. Using a special tool, install the seal and ball bearing into the gear housing.
9. Apply working fluid and grease to the pinion (A) and install the pinion into the steering gear housing.

10. Apply working fluid to the seal, install it in the steering gear housing and secure the gear housing (A) with the sealing ring to the housing (B).

11. Install lock washers and steering rods.

Note.
- 1. Align the tabs of the lock washer (A) with the recesses of the rack.
- 2. Always use new lock washers.
12. Install the insert (A), rack stop (B), stop spring (C), plug (D) and lock nut (E) in the order shown in the figure. Apply semi-hardening sealant to the threads of the rack stop adjusting screw before installation.

13. With the rack in the middle position, screw the rack stop adjustment screw into the steering gear housing and tighten it with a 14 mm socket wrench to a torque of 12 Nm, then loosen the screw by an angle of 30-60° and tighten the screw lock nut to a torque of 50-70 Nm.

14. Tighten the supply line fastening nipple to the specified torque and install the rubber cushion on the adhesive joint.
15. Apply silicone grease to the place where the boot is installed (in the groove) of the steering rod.

16. Install a new mounting clamp on the boot.
Note: Replace the mounting clamp with a new one each time you install the boot.
17. Install the boot in place, making sure it is not twisted.
18. Apply grease (POLE LUB GLY801K or equivalent) to the ball joint boot of the steering rod (B) and to the edge of the boot (A);: SHOWA SUNLIGHT МВ 2 or equivalent; cavity and edge of the boot: THREE BOND) and secure the boot with a retaining ring, inserting it into the groove of the hinge.

19. Install the ball joint on the steering rod. The length of the steering rod end should be 112.2 mm.

20. Check the rotation torque of the drive gear.
