
2. Loosen the universal joint connecting bolts and disconnect the steering shaft from the steering gear.

3. Raise the car on a lift.

4. Remove the front wheels.
5. Knock out the locking pin of the nut and use a puller (09568-34000) press out the ball joint pin of the steering rod end (A) from the steering knuckle (B).

6. Bleed the system.
7. Remove the engine crankcase guard (A).

8. Disconnect the front muffler (A).

9. Disconnect the feed pipe (A) and outlet hose (B) from the steering gear.

10. Remove the clamps (A) securing the feed tube and outlet hose.

11. Remove the power steering clamp.

12. Loosen the mounting bolts (A) of the steering gear.

13. Remove the steering gear assembly with rods (A), pulling it towards the right side of the vehicle.

Note: When removing the steering gear, be careful not to damage the dust boots.
