This check is performed with the participation of an assistant. With the engine running, the assistant should press the brake pedal several times and then hold it down with a force of approximately 490 N (50 kgf). The height of the pressed brake pedal above the floor is determined by the distance between the upper surface of the pedal pad and the sound-insulating floor covering under the mat. If this distance is different from that shown in the illustration, contact your Hyundai dealer for adjustment and possible repair.
