With the engine not running, press the brake pedal several times to relieve the vacuum in the brake booster.
Then slowly press the brake pedal with your hand until you feel an increase in resistance. This corresponds to the amount of free travel of the brake pedal, which should be within the limits shown in the figure. If these limits are exceeded, contact your Hyundai dealer for adjustment and possible repair.
