Caution: Considering the importance of the brake system to ensure safety, it is recommended that you have it checked and serviced by a Hyundai dealer. Check and determine the degree of brake wear at the intervals specified in the service book.
Warning: Use caution when handling brake fluid. If it gets into your eyes, it may cause visual impairment. In addition, it spoils the paintwork of the car body if it is not removed immediately.
Brake fluid used
Use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid in your brake system. Follow the directions on the fluid bottle.
Checking the brake fluid level

The fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir should be checked periodically. Its level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the tank wall. If the level has dropped below the "MIN" mark, carefully add fluid up to the "MAX" mark, but not higher.
Bringing the brake fluid level up to normal
Warning: Use caution when handling brake fluid. If it gets into your eyes, it may cause visual impairment. Use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid in a sealed container. To prevent dirt and moisture from entering the fluid and impairing the performance of the brake system, do not leave the brake fluid container open longer than necessary.
Before adding fluid to the tank, thoroughly remove any dirt from it, then open the tank cap. Slowly pour the required grade of liquid into the tank, making sure that there is no overflow. Carefully install the tank cap and tighten it tightly.
