With the engine off, press the brake pedal several times to reduce the vacuum in the brake booster.
Then slowly press the brake pedal with your hand until you feel a noticeable resistance. This is the brake pedal free play. It should be within the limits shown in the figure. If this is not the case, take your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealer for adjustment or, if necessary, replacement of parts.
