1) Disconnect the brake light switch connector (B), loosen the brake light switch lock nut (A), and turn it so that it does not touch the brake pedal lever.
2) Loosen the rod lock nut and adjust the height of the brake pedal above the floor within the specified limits by decreasing or increasing the length of the rod, rotating it with pliers.

3) Rotate the brake light switch to set the gap (A) between its pusher and the pedal stop (B) within 0.5-1.0 mm. Securely tighten the switch lock nut.

4) Connect the brake light switch connector.
5) Make sure that the brake light goes out when you release the brake pedal.
2. With the engine not running, release the vacuum in the vacuum booster by pressing the brake pedal 2-3 times and by pressing the brake pedal (B) by hand, check the free play (A). Control value: 3-8 mm.

If the pedal free play is less than the specified lower limit, check that the clearance between the brake light switch rod (C) and the brake pedal stop is within the specified limits. If the pedal free play is greater than the specified upper limit, the cause is an increased clearance between the axle and the brake pedal lever. Check the condition of these parts and replace them if necessary.
3. Start the engine. Press the brake pedal and check the master cylinder, brake hoses and connections for brake fluid leaks. Replace damaged parts if necessary.
