1) Disconnect the brake light switch connector (IN), unscrew the lock nut of the brake light switch (A) and turn it so that it does not touch the brake pedal lever.
2) Unscrew the lock nut of the stem and adjust the height of the brake pedal above the floor within the specified limits by reducing or increasing the length of the stem by rotating it with pliers.
3) Turn the brake light switch to set the clearance (A) between its pusher and pedal stop (IN) within 0.5-1.0 mm. Tighten the switch lock nut securely.
4) Connect the brake light switch connector.
5) Make sure that when you release the brake pedal, the brake light goes out.
2. With the engine off, relieve the vacuum in the vacuum booster by pressing the brake pedal 2-3 times, and pressing the brake pedal with your hand (IN) check free play (A). Reference value: 3-8 mm.
If the pedal free play is less than the specified lower limit, verify that the clearance between the brake light switch stem is correct (WITH) and brake pedal stop. If the pedal free play is greater than the specified upper limit, then the cause is an increased clearance between the axle and the brake pedal lever. Check the condition of these parts and replace them if necessary.
3. Start the engine. Depress the brake pedal and check for brake fluid leaks in the brake master cylinder, brake hoses and connections. If necessary, replace damaged parts.
