Brake pedal — check (Hyundai Tucson JM)

1. Check the bushings for wear.

2. Check the brake pedal for deformation.

3. Check the pedal return spring for damage.

4. Check the brake light switch. To do this, connect a multimeter to the brake light switch. Check the continuity of the circuit with the switch pressed and released. Replace the brake light switch if the circuit is open when the switch is pressed.
