Replacing the fluid in the steering system (Hyundai Elantra J1)

Raise the front wheels of the vehicle and place the vehicle on stands.

Disconnect the drain hose (1).



Connect the hose (2) to the drain hose and drain the working fluid into a suitable container.

Disconnect the high tension center wire from the ignition coil.

To completely drain the working fluid, turn the starter on for several short periods, constantly turning the steering wheel left and right.

Place the drain hose back in place and secure it with a clamp.

Fill the reservoir with the recommended fluid to the bottom position of the filter, then bleed the air from the power steering hydraulic system.
