Replacing the power steering pump fluid (Hyundai Sonata EF)

1. Jack up the car, install stands and lift the front wheels off the ground.

2. Disconnect the return hose from the power steering reservoir and install the plug in the hole.

3. Connect the flexible hose to the return hose and drain the working fluid into a special container.



4. Disconnect the high-voltage spark plug wires from the ignition coils. To completely drain the working fluid, crank the engine crankshaft by briefly turning the starter several times, constantly turning the steering wheel from one extreme position to the other. After that, connect the high-voltage wires to the ignition coils.

5. Securely connect the return hose and fill the hydraulic reservoir with the recommended fluid.

• Filling capacity - 0.9 l

6. Start the engine. Check for any leaks of working fluid.

7. Turn off the engine.
