Replacing the fuel filter (Hyundai Sonata EF)

1. The fuel filter is an integral part of the fuel pump assembly located on the fuel tank and cannot be replaced without complete disassembly of the fuel pump assembly.

2. The procedure for removing and installing the fuel pump unit is described in the chapter "Fuel injection system (MFQ)

Editor's note: Hyundai recommends replacing the fuel filter every 60,000 km of vehicle mileage. However, given the quality of gasoline in Russia, we recommend replacing the fuel filter before the specified mileage or if there are signs of its actual failure in order to avoid failure of the fuel pump in the tank.
