Procedure
1. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system as follows.
- open the trunk and disconnect the connector from the fuel pump;
- start the engine and let it run until it stops due to lack of fuel in the fuel distribution line. As a result of the actions taken, the pressure in the fuel system was removed;
- turn off the ignition;
- disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
e. connect the fuel pump connector.
2. Remove the screws securing the fuel filter tube clamps.
Warning: Cover the fuel filter with a towel to prevent fuel from splashing out due to residual pressure in the fuel line.
3. Unscrew the fuel filter mounting bolts and remove it from the bracket.
4. After replacing the fuel filter, check the fuel system for leaks.
