- Remove the rear seat back, tilt the folded rear seat forward and use a screwdriver to open the fuel pump inspection hatch. Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
- Start the engine and let it run until it stops due to lack of fuel in the fuel distribution line. As a result of the actions taken, the pressure in the fuel system is relieved. Turn off the ignition.
- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
- Connect the fuel pump connector.

2. Unscrew the eye bolts, holding the fuel filter mounting nuts from turning.
Warning: Cover the fuel filter with a towel to prevent fuel from splashing out due to residual pressure in the fuel line.
3. Unscrew the fuel filter mounting bolts and remove it from the bracket.
4. After replacing the fuel filter, check the fuel system for leaks.
