Removal



Loosen the front wheel mounting bolts.

With the handbrake applied, raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the corresponding front wheel.

Remove the front wheel speed sensor (car with ABS).

Loosen the bolts and remove the front brake caliper from the steering knuckle. Without disconnecting the brake hose from the caliper, tie the caliper to the body with wire.

Remove the brake disc.



Using the tool, loosen the wheel drive shaft mounting nut.

Using the tool, loosen the wheel drive shaft mounting nut.


Loosen the nut securing the lower arm ball joint pin to the front suspension strut.

Using a puller, remove the ball joint pin from the front suspension strut.

Using a puller, remove the ball joint pin from the front suspension strut.


Remove the cotter pin and steering tip mounting nuts.

Loosen the tie rod end nut.

Loosen the tie rod end nut.


Remove the outer end of the drive shaft from the front wheel hub. Using wire, tie the end of the drive shaft to the body.



Loosen the nuts and remove the bolts securing the steering knuckle to the suspension strut and remove the steering knuckle with the hub.

Check the hub for wear and damage.

If there is play between the steering knuckle and the outer bearing race or the hub and the inner bearing race, replace the bearing or damaged parts.

Installation



Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following:

Correctly install the washer (1) under the drive shaft nut. Using a torque wrench, tighten the nut to the required torque while using a special tool to prevent the hub from turning.
