Disassembly
After removing the reservoir cap, remove the diaphragm, filter, and brake fluid level sensor.
Remove the float and the tank lock bolt.
Remove the tank and sealing bushings.
Early models: Loosen the piston lock bolt while pressing down on the piston.
Remove the sealing ring.
Remove the piston retaining ring while pressing on the piston.
Remove the pistons.
Check the removed components for wear and damage.
Assembly
Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
Components of the master brake cylinder (late model cars)
A - models with ABS;
B - models without ABS;
1 - body;
2 - first chamber piston;
3 - piston of the second chamber;
4 - retaining ring;
5 - expansion tank;
6 - level sensor.
