Checking the shaft speed sensors (Hyundai Accent MC)

Examination

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the air intake duct and air filter.

3. Disconnect the sensor wire from the cable bracket.

4. Disconnect the input (A) and output (B) shaft speed sensor connectors.



5. Measure the resistance of the corresponding sensor. Nominal value: 215-275 Ohm (at 20°C). If the measured value differs from the nominal value, replace the sensor.

Replacement

6. Disconnect the connector, unscrew the screw and remove the input (A) or output (B) shaft speed sensor. Tightening torque: 10-12 Nm.

Note: Apply transmission fluid to the O-ring before installing the sensor.
