Adjusting the low gear switch (Hyundai Accent MC)

Note: If the low range switch does not function properly, adjust it:

• oN - 1st or 3rd gear;
• off (OFF) - 2nd or 4th gear.

Checking the switch is described in the section "Checking the elements of the automatic transmission control system"

1. Completely remove any dirt around the switch adjustment screw.

2. Loosen the locknut.

3. Loosen and tighten the adjusting screw (A) twice to a torque of 5 Nm.



4. Tighten the adjusting screw to 5 Nm, then loosen it 3-31/3 turns.

Note: Apply sealant to the center of the adjusting screw before assembly.

5. Tighten the lock nut. Tightening torque: 15-22 Nm.
