Loosen the wheel speed sensor mounting bolt (Fig. 6.71).

Disconnect the wheel speed sensor connector and remove the sensor (Fig. 6.72).



Removal the rear wheel speed sensor



Remove the rear seat cushion.

Remove the rear pillar trim panel (Fig. 6.73).

Remove the wheel.

Disconnect the connector and remove the sensor (Fig. 6.74).

Examination

Measure the resistance between the sensor terminals (Fig. 6.75).

Nominal resistance:
  • front wheel speed sensor - 1275–1495 Ohm.
  • rear wheel speed sensor - 1275–1495 Ohm.

While rotating the wheel, measure the voltage between the sensor terminals (Fig. 6.76).

Nominal value: AC voltage is recorded.

Note: Set the voltmeter switch to measure AC voltage (AC voltage).
