Disconnect the brake pipes from the ABS hydraulic unit (Fig. 6.67).

Loosen the bolt securing the hydraulic unit and ABS electronic control unit (HESU), then remove the unit (Fig. 6.68).

Disconnect the ABS electronic control unit connectors (Fig. 6.69).

Caution: Never attempt to disassemble the hydraulic unit and ABS electronic control unit (HESU).


Caution! The control unit must be carried and stored in an upright position with the holes plugged. Do not drain the brake fluid from the unit.


Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten the bolt and nuts securing the control unit and brake pipes to the specified torque.

Tightening torque of the mounting bolt: 8–10 N·m, pipe nuts: 13–17 N·m.
