2. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor connector and remove the sensor.

2. Disconnect the front wheel speed…

Examination

1. Connect an ohmmeter between the terminals of the wheel speed sensor and measure the resistance. If the resistance does not correspond to the nominal value, replace the sensor.

  • Nominal resistance: 1275±1495 Ohm

Nominal resistance: 1275±1495 Ohm

2. Connect a voltmeter between the terminals of the wheel speed sensor and measure the voltage while the wheel is rotating. If the sensor is working properly, AC voltage should be registered.

2. Connect a voltmeter between the…

Note: Set the switch of the voltmeter to measure the AC voltage.

3. Check the voltage at the terminals of the wiring harness connector.
  • a) Raise the vehicle on a lift and release the parking brake lever.
  • b) Disconnect the connector from the ABS/EBD/TCS electronic control unit.
  • c) Rotate the wheel by hand at a frequency of 0.5-1 revolution per second, and measure the voltage at the terminals of the wiring harness connector.
  • Nominal voltage: 100mV or more
