Front wheel speed sensor.
1 - sensor rotor, 2 - sensor wire, 3 - wheel speed sensor.
Removal
1. Loosen the front wheel speed sensor mounting bolt.
- Tightening torque: 8-9.5 Nm

2. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor connector and remove the sensor.

Examination
1. Connect an ohmmeter between the terminals of the wheel speed sensor and measure the resistance. If the resistance does not correspond to the nominal value, replace the sensor.
[This article is based on information from the website HyundaiBook]
- Nominal resistance: 1275±1495 Ohm

2. Connect a voltmeter between the terminals of the wheel speed sensor and measure the voltage while the wheel is rotating. If the sensor is working properly, AC voltage should be registered.

Note: Set the switch of the voltmeter to measure the AC voltage.
3. Check the voltage at the terminals of the wiring harness connector.
- a) Raise the vehicle on a lift and release the parking brake lever.
- b) Disconnect the connector from the ABS/EBD/TCS electronic control unit.
- c) Rotate the wheel by hand at a frequency of 0.5-1 revolution per second, and measure the voltage at the terminals of the wiring harness connector.
- Nominal voltage: 100mV or more
| Wheel speed sensor | Connector pins |
| rear left | 2 ↔ 1 |
| rear right | 20 ↔ 19 |
Installation
The installation of the speed sensor is carried out in the reverse order of removal; the tightening torque of the bolt is indicated in the text describing the removal procedure.
