Parking brake.
1 - lever button, 2 - parking brake lever, 3 - parking brake drive cables.
Removal
1. Remove the floor console.
2. Loosen the parking brake lever adjusting nut.

3. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the lever.
4. Loosen the parking brake lever bolts.
5. Disconnect the parking brake indicator connector.

6. Remove the rear seats and carpet.
7. Remove the parking brake actuator body retainer and gasket.
8. Slide the muffler heat shield forward.
9. Unscrew the bolt, remove it together with the nut and disconnect the cable bracket.
10. Jack up the car, unscrew the bolts and remove the rear wheel.
- Tightening torque: 90-110 Nm
11. Remove the brake drum.
Note:
- Make sure the parking brake lever is released.
- If you have any difficulties during removal, unscrew the bolts from the technological holes and change the position of the pads by turning the regulator.

12. Remove the rear wheel hub.
13. Remove the springs and pins.
14. Remove the parking brake cable retainer.
15. Disconnect the parking brake cable.
16. Pull the cable to remove it.

Examination
1. Check that the parking brake and its indicator operate correctly. Replace the relevant parts if necessary.
2. Check the parking brake lever ratchet components for damage.
3. Check that the parking brake cable is not damaged.
4. Check and, if necessary, adjust the travel of the parking brake lever (see the section "Checks and adjustments").
Installation
1. The parking brake is installed in the reverse order of removal; the tightening torques for the bolts and nuts are specified in the text describing the removal procedure.
2. Please pay attention to the following operations during installation.
- a) Make sure that the color marks on the parking brake cable clamps match.
- Left cable clamp mark: yellow
- Right cable clamp mark: white
- b) If necessary, adjust the position of the brake pads by turning the adjuster.

- c) Install the cables as shown in the figure.

- d) Apply grease to all moving parts of the parking brake lever ratchet mechanism.
- Grease: SAE J310, NLGI No.2
3. After installation, check and, if necessary, adjust the travel of the parking brake lever (see the "Checks and adjustments" section).
