Removal
Caution: Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with painted surfaces. If brake fluid does come into contact with a painted surface, wash it off immediately.
1. Unscrew the union nuts of the brake pipes and disconnect the pipes.
- Tightening torque: 13-17 Nm
2. Disconnect the hoses from the tubes.
3. Disconnect the hoses from the front brake mechanisms.
- Tightening torque: 25-30 Nm
Examination
1. Check the brake pipes for cracks, deformations and corrosion.
2. Check the brake hoses for cracks, deformations and leaks.
3. Check the union nuts securing the brake pipes for damage and leaks.
4. Replace brake hoses if damaged, twisted or leaking brake fluid is found.
Installation
1. Installation of brake pipes and hoses is carried out in the reverse order of removal; tightening torques for bolts and nuts are specified in the text describing the removal procedure.
Attention:
- Install the brake hoses so that they are not twisted.
- Brake pipes and hoses should be installed as far as possible from sharp corners, welds or moving parts of the vehicle.
2. After connecting all brake hoses and pipes, bleed the brake system.
