Removal and installation of the brake booster.

1 - vacuum hose, 2 - amplifier assembly, 3 - fork axle.


Removal



1. Remove the brake master cylinder (see section "Master brake cylinder").

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

3. Remove the cotter pin and washer, remove the fork axle and disconnect the rod fork from the brake pedal.

4. Unscrew the amplifier mounting nuts and remove the amplifier assembly.
  • Tightening torque: 13-16 Nm

Note: Do not disassemble the amplifier.


Installation



1. The vacuum booster is installed in the reverse order of removal. The tightening torques for the bolts and nuts are indicated in the text describing the removal procedure and in the assembly drawing "Removal and installation the brake booster".

2. After installation, fill the reservoir with brake fluid, then bleed the brake system.
