Note:
- After any work involving air entering the brake system, bleed it.
- The bleeding procedure is the same for each wheel brake. Bleed in the order shown in the figure.

Caution: Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with painted surfaces. If brake fluid does come into contact with a painted surface, wash it off immediately.
1. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and fill the reservoir with brake fluid.
- Brake fluid type: SAE J 1703 or FMVSS 116 DOT3 or DOT4

2. Connect the hose to the bleed nipple of the disc brake caliper or the working brake cylinder of the drum brake. Lower the free end of the hose into a container half filled with clean brake fluid.

3. Slowly press the brake pedal several times.
4. While keeping the pedal fully depressed, loosen the bleed screw until brake fluid begins to flow out. Then tighten the bleed screw and release the brake pedal.
5. Repeat steps "3" - "4" until air bubbles stop appearing along with the brake fluid.
6. Tighten the bleed screw.
- Tightening torque: 7-13 Nm
