1. Remove the fuse box cover and remove the starter relay (14).
2. Using an ohmmeter, check the integrity of the relay circuit: contacts 30 and 87 - the circuit is closed; contacts 85 and 86 - the circuit is open.
3. Apply battery voltage to terminal 85 and ground terminal 86. Check the circuit between terminals 30 and 87. If the circuit is open, replace the relay.
