1. Lid; 2. Mesh filter; 3. Brake fluid reservoir; 4. Rubber bushings; 5. Pin; 6. Retaining ring; 7. Primary piston; 8. Secondary piston; 9. Master cylinder; 10. Brake force regulator; 11. Brake fluid level sensor
Disassembly
1. Remove the reservoir cap and drain the brake fluid into a suitable container.
2. Remove the brake fluid level sensor.
3. Remove the screw (1) and remove the tank (2) from the master cylinder.
4. On non-ABS models, remove proportional valves (brake force distribution regulators) (3).
5. Using pliers, remove the retaining ring (4).
6. Use a screwdriver to depress the primary piston and remove the pin. Remove the primary piston from the master cylinder.
7. Use a screwdriver to press the primary piston to release the pin and remove the pin (5). Remove the primary piston from the master cylinder.
Note: Do not disassemble the primary and secondary pistons.
Examination
8. Check the inner surface of the cylinder, the surface of the pistons and sealing rings for damage and wear.
Assembly
9. Apply brake fluid to the rubber parts of the cylinder and bushings.
10. Carefully place the pistons and springs in their proper positions.
11. Press the secondary piston with a screwdriver so that the pin can be installed in the hole (6), and install the pin (7).
12. Use a screwdriver to press the primary piston to release the groove for installing the retaining ring, and install the retaining ring (8).
13. Install the brake force regulators and two rubber bushings.
14. Install the tank.
