1. Loosen the accelerator cable adjusting nut.

2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle lever.

3. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal lever.

4. Remove the two bolts securing the accelerator cable housing to the engine compartment bulkhead and remove it from the vehicle.

1. Loosen the accelerator cable adjusting nut, disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal lever and remove the pedal.

3. Remove the cotter pin from the accelerator pedal shaft and remove the accelerator pedal from the bracket.

Examination



1. Check the accelerator cable and cable housing for damage.

2. Check the smooth movement of the accelerator cable in the housing.

3. Check the accelerator pedal for bending.

4. Check the condition of the return spring.

5. Check the condition of the accelerator cable tip.

Installation



1. Lubricate the accelerator pedal pivot points with J310a NLGI grease.

2. To prevent exhaust fumes and gases from entering the vehicle's interior, apply sealant to the threads of the accelerator pedal bracket mounting bolts.

3. Make sure the accelerator cable has no sharp kinks.

4. Check the accelerator cable for play.

5. Install all parts and secure with bolts and nuts, tightening them to the required torque.
