1 - cotter pin; 2 - accelerator cable; 3 - bracket; 4 – a socket of the switch of an accelerator of cars with an automatic transmission; 5 - bolt, 8–12 Nm; 6 - return spring; 7 - accelerator pedal.
Withdrawal
Accelerator cable
1. Loosen the accelerator cable adjusting nut.
2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle lever.
3. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal lever.
4. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a cover of a cable of an accelerator to a partition of a motor compartment and remove it from the car.
Accelerator pedal
1. Loosen the accelerator cable adjusting nut, disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal lever and remove the pedal.
2. Remove the accelerator pedal return spring.
3. Remove the cotter pin from the accelerator pedal axle and remove the accelerator pedal from the bracket.
Examination
1. Check the accelerator cable and cable sheath for damage.
2. Check up smoothness of movement of a cable of an accelerator in a cover.
3. Check the accelerator pedal for bending.
4. Check the condition of the return spring.
5. Check the condition of the accelerator cable end.
Installation
1. Lubricate the accelerator pedal pivot points with J310a NLGI grease.
2. To prevent vapors and exhaust gases from entering the vehicle interior, apply sealant to the threads of the accelerator pedal bracket mounting bolts.
3. Make sure the accelerator cable does not have sharp kinks.
4. Check the play of the accelerator cable.
5. Install all parts and secure with bolts and nuts, tightening them to the required torques.
