Removal
1. Remove the bushing and inner cable end from the pedal arm.
2. Disconnect the connector from the accelerator pedal switch, remove the accelerator pedal bracket mounting bolts and remove the accelerator pedal.
Examination
1. Check the accelerator cable and cable housing for damage.
2. Check the smooth movement of the accelerator cable in the casing.
3. Check the accelerator pedal for bending.
4. Check the condition of the return spring.
5. Check the condition of the accelerator cable tip.
6. Check the operation of the accelerator pedal switch.

Installation
1. Lubricate the accelerator pedal pivot points with grease.
2. To prevent vapors and exhaust gases from entering the vehicle interior, apply sealant to the threads of the accelerator pedal bracket mounting bolts.
Tightening torque: 8–12 Nm
3. Insert the plastic end of the accelerator cable into the grip on the end of the accelerator pedal lever.
4. Apply general purpose grease around the throttle cable end.
