1 - adjusting bolt, 2 - connection of inner cable on the throttle body side, 3 - bushing, 4 - connection of inner cable on the accelerator pedal side, 5 - accelerator pedal lever, 6 - accelerator pedal bracket, 7 - cotter pin, 8 - accelerator pedal return spring, 9 - accelerator pedal.
Removal
1. Disconnect the bushing and accelerator pedal cable from the accelerator pedal lever.
2. Pull the accelerator pedal to the left and towards you, then remove the accelerator pedal from the accelerator pedal lever.

3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the accelerator pedal bracket assembly.

4. Unscrew the two bolts securing the accelerator pedal cable housing to the engine compartment bulkhead and remove the cable from the vehicle.

Examination
1. Check the inner cable and the accelerator pedal cable housing for damage.
2. Check the freedom of movement of the inner cable of the accelerator pedal in the sheath.
3. Check the accelerator pedal lever and lever axle (on the bracket) for deformation.
4. Check the accelerator pedal return spring for wear or deterioration.
5. Check the reliability of the connection of the bushing and the metal end of the accelerator pedal cable braid.
6. Check that the accelerator pedal is working properly.
Installation
1. When installing the return spring to the accelerator pedal lever shaft, apply general-purpose grease to all areas where the spring and lever shaft contact the accelerator pedal lever.

2. Apply sealant to the mounting bolt holes, then install the accelerator pedal bracket and tighten the accelerator pedal bracket mounting bolts.
- Tightening torque: 8-12 Nm

3. Securely install the plastic bushing of the accelerator pedal cable onto the end of the accelerator pedal lever.
