1 - adjusting bolt, 2 - throttle body side inner cable connection, 3 - grommet, 4 - accelerator pedal side inner cable connection, 5 - accelerator pedal lever, 6 - accelerator pedal bracket, 7 - cotter pin, 8 - return spring accelerator pedal, 9 - accelerator pedal.
Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal bushing and cable from the accelerator pedal lever.
2. Pull the accelerator pedal to the left and towards you, then remove the accelerator pedal from the accelerator pedal lever.
3. Turn away bolts of fastening and remove an arm of a pedal of an accelerator in gathering.
4. Turn away two bolts of fastening of a cover of a cable of a pedal of an accelerator to a partition of a motor compartment and remove a cable from the car.
Examination
1. Check the inner cable and accelerator pedal cable sheath for damage.
2. Check up freedom of movement of an internal cable of an accelerator pedal in a braid.
3. Check the accelerator pedal lever and lever axle (on bracket) for no deformation.
4. Check the accelerator pedal return spring for wear and deterioration.
5. Check up reliability of connection of the plug and a metal tip of a braid of a cable of a pedal of an accelerator.
6. Check up correct work of a pedal of an accelerator.
Installation
1. When installing the return spring on the accelerator pedal lever shaft, apply multipurpose grease to all contact points of the spring and lever shaft with the accelerator pedal lever.
2. Apply sealant to the mounting bolt holes, then install the accelerator pedal bracket and tighten the accelerator pedal bracket mounting bolts.
- Tightening torque: 8-12 Nm
3. Install the plastic grommet of the accelerator pedal cable securely to the end of the accelerator pedal arm.
