Withdrawal
1. Release residual pressure from the high pressure fuel lines to prevent fuel splashing.
Caution: due to residual pressure in the high pressure fuel line, cover the fuel filter with a rag to prevent fuel splashing.
2. (Engines 2.0 l / 2.4 l.) Remove the protective cover of the injectors.
3. Disconnect the high pressure fuel hose from the fuel manifold and the fuel return hose.
4. Remove the fuel manifold along with the injectors.
Note: Be careful not to drop the injectors when removing the fuel manifold.
2.4L engine
Installation
1. Installing the nozzle.
- A) Install a new nozzle body O-ring and a new nozzle nozzle O-ring.
- b) Before installing, apply a little spindle oil or gasoline to the nozzle atomizer O-ring.
- V) Turning the nozzle left and right, carefully install it into the fuel manifold. Be careful not to damage the O-ring when installing the injector.
- G) After installation, check if the injector turns smoothly in the fuel manifold.
Note: If the injector does not rotate smoothly in the fuel manifold, then the O-ring may have been pinched. In this case, disconnect the injector from the fuel manifold, re-insert it into the fuel manifold and check if it turns smoothly
2. Install the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel manifold in the same way as installing the injector. Tighten the regulator mounting bolts.
- Tightening torque: 4-6 Nm
3. Install the fuel manifold assembly to the cylinder head.
Engine 2.7 l.
4. Connect the high pressure fuel hose flange to the fuel manifold. Tighten the fastening bolts to the nominal torque.
- Tightening torque: 3-4 Nm
