Removal

1. Release residual pressure from the high-pressure fuel lines to prevent fuel splashing.

Caution: Due to residual pressure in the high-pressure fuel line, cover the fuel filter with a rag to prevent fuel from splashing.

2. (2.0L/2.4L engines) Remove the injector protective cover.

Installation

1. Installing the nozzle.
  • a) Install a new injector body sealing ring and a new injector nozzle O-ring.
  • b) Before installation, apply a little spindle oil or gasoline to the O-ring of the injector nozzle.

b) Before installation, apply a little…

  • c) Carefully install the injector into the fuel manifold by turning it left and right. Do not damage the O-ring when installing the injector.
  • d) After installation, check whether the injector rotates smoothly in the fuel manifold.

Note: If the injector does not rotate smoothly in the fuel rail, the O-ring may be pinched. In this case, disconnect the injector from the fuel rail, reinsert it into the fuel rail and check if it rotates smoothly

Note: If the injector does not rotate…

2. Install the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel manifold in the same way as the injector. Tighten the regulator mounting bolts.

  • Tightening torque: 4-6 Nm

3. Install the fuel rail assembly onto the cylinder head.
