Acceleration Sensor (APS)


The acceleration sensor is used to roughly determine road conditions. The sensor signal is used by the engine control unit to detect abnormal misfires.

Examination



Use a voltmeter to check the output voltage of the acceleration sensor.

Output voltage:
  • at idle: 2.3–2.7 V
  • ignition off: 0 V
