Longitudinal acceleration sensor (Hyundai Tucson LM)

Removal and installation

1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the console side cover.

3. Disconnect the longitudinal acceleration sensor connector.

4. Loosen the mounting bolts (A).

Note: Tightening torque: 4.9 - 6.8 Nm.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Note:

Deviation from the reference axis perpendicular to the direction of movement, ±2°

Initialization of the zero position is necessary in the following cases:

• Replacing the longitudinal acceleration sensor.
• Replacement of the control unit (GEBU).
• Fault code C1285 (longitudinal acceleration sensor not calibrated) occurs.
