Removal and installation
1. Loosen the bolt (A) securing the front wheel speed sensor.
Note: Tightening torque: 6.9 - 10.8 Nm.
2. Remove the wheel arch liner.
3. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor connector and remove the sensor.
4. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Checking the technical condition
1. Measure the output voltage between the wheel speed sensor terminal and the body ground.
Caution: To protect the wheel speed sensor, a 100 ohm resistor must be included in the measuring circuit as shown in the figure.
2. Compare the wheel speed sensor output voltage changes with the normal output voltage changes shown below.
V lower: 0.59 - 0.84 V.
V top: 1.18 V - 1.68 V.
Frequency range: 1 - 2,500 Hz.
