Contents: Parking brake pedal (foot type) ⇓ Parking brake lever (hand type) ⇓ Parking brake shoe (2WD) ⇓ Parking brake shoe (4WD) ⇓
Parking brake pedal (foot type)
1. Remove the lower part of the instrument panel.
2. Remove the distribution block.
3. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector (A).

4. Remove the bolts (A) and nuts (B) securing the parking brake pedal.

5. Loosen the parking brake cable mounting bolts.
6. Loosen the adjusting nut (A) of the parking brake cable, remove the clamp (B), and then remove the parking brake pedal.

7. Remove the floor console.
8. Remove the floor console bracket.

9. Remove the clamp (A) and unscrew the parking brake cable mounting bolts.

10. Loosen the adjusting nut (A), then disconnect the front parking brake cable.

11. Raise the vehicle and make sure the supports are secure.
12. Remove the retaining ring (B), then disconnect the parking brake cable (A).

13. Loosen the parking brake cable bracket bolts and remove the rear cable.
Parking brake lever (hand type)
1. Remove the floor console.
2. Remove the floor console bracket.

3. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector (A).
4. Loosen the adjusting nut (A), then loosen the parking brake cables.

5. Remove 4 bolts (A) and remove the parking brake lever assembly.

6. Raise the vehicle and make sure the supports are secure.
7. Remove the retaining ring (B), then disconnect the parking brake cable (A).

8. Loosen the parking brake cable bracket bolts and remove the cable.
Parking brake shoe (2WD)
1. Raise the vehicle and make sure the supports are secure.
2. Remove the rear wheel.
3. Remove the caliper and brake disc.
4. Remove the retainer (A) and then the parking brake cable (B).

5. Remove the shoe pressure pin (A) and spring (B) by squeezing and rotating the spring.

6. Remove the regulator (B) assembly and the lower return spring (A).

7. Remove the upper return spring (C) and brake shoes (D).
8. Remove the drive lever (E) assembly.
Parking brake shoe (4WD)
1. Raise the vehicle and make sure the supports are secure.
2. Remove the rear wheel and then the brake caliper.
3. Loosen the screws (A) and remove the brake disc.

4. Remove the hub bearing (A).

5. Remove the shoe retaining pin (A) and spring (B) by squeezing the retaining spring and rotating the pin.

6. Remove the regulator (A) assembly and return spring (B).

7. Disconnect the parking brake cable (B) from the brake shoe (A).

8. Remove the spacer (C) with the spring (D).

9. Remove the brake shoe.
10. Remove the stopper (B) of the parking brake cable (A).
