APS acceleration sensor (Hyundai Elantra XD)

The acceleration sensor is used to roughly determine road conditions. The sensor signal is used by the engine control unit to detect abnormal misfires.

Examination

Use a voltmeter to check the output voltage of the acceleration sensor.

Output voltage:

• at idle: 2.3–2.7 V
• when moving: 1.5–3.5 V
