Engine Management System Power Main Relay (Hyundai Getz 1)

When the ignition is turned on, power from the battery is supplied to the engine control unit, injectors, absolute pressure sensor, etc. When the ignition is on, the ignition switch circuit is connected to ground through the winding of the main power relay.

Examination

1. Check the integrity of the relay contact circuit at contacts 5 ("+") and 1 ("-").

Relay winding (contacts 2 and 4)	Chain condition
The winding is off	No conductivity
The winding is on	There is conductivity

2. If the relay is faulty, replace it. Tightening torque: 7–11 N·m.
