If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, move the selector lever to the "P" or "N" position and apply the emergency brake. Check the connections of the wires to the battery terminals to make sure they are clean and tight. Turn on the interior light. If the light glows weakly or goes out when the starter is turned on, the battery is discharged. Check the tightness of the starter wire connections.
Do not start the engine by towing the vehicle.
