Order of execution
1. Check the condenser plates for blockage and damage. If the plates are clogged, clean them with a high pressure water jet.
Warning! Be careful not to damage the plates.
2. Make sure the A/C compressor drive belt is installed correctly.
3. Check the tension of the A/C compressor drive belt. If the belt slips on the pulleys, the performance of the air conditioning system and the life of the belt will be reduced.
To avoid this, the following belt maintenance procedure must be followed:
- any belt that has been running for at least 30 minutes is considered a used belt;
- Check belt tension at prescribed service intervals.
Check the belt tension by applying 98 N of pressure to the belt at a point equidistant from the pulleys and measure the belt deflection.
Deflection of the air conditioning compressor drive belt when checking the tension:
- After running belt: 8mm
- Belt Used: 6-7mm
- New belt: 5-5.5mm
4. Start the engine.
5. Turn on the air conditioning system by pressing the A/C switch. Check the operation of the air conditioning system in all positions of the fan operating mode switch.
6. Check the operation of the electromagnetic clutch.
7. Check the engine idle speed. When the electromagnetic clutch is engaged, the engine speed should increase.
8. Check the operation of the condenser fan.
9. If there is no or insufficient cooling, check the air conditioning system for leaks.
