Removal



1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the positive cable from the battery, then remove the battery.

3. Disconnect the engine control module (ECM) connector, then remove the ECM and battery tray.

4. Disconnect the vacuum hose (A) from the brake booster.

5. Remove the master cylinder.



6. Remove the cotter pin (A) and then the pin (B).

7. Unscrew the mounting nuts.

Note: Tightening torque: 16.7-25.5 Nm

8. Remove the brake booster.

Checking the technical condition



1. Inspect the vacuum hose check valve.

Caution: Do not remove the check valve from the vacuum hose.


2. Check the boot for damage.

Installation



1. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Attention.
  • Apply grease to the pin before installing it.
  • Always install a new cotter pin.


2. Adjust the brake pedal height and free travel.

3. After installation, bleed the brake system.
