Warning: Be careful when changing engine oil as the oil is hot and may cause burns.
Procedure
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and turn it off.
2. Stop the engine.

3. Remove the oil filler cap and unscrew the oil drain plug from the oil pan. Wait until all the oil has drained from the oil pan.

4. Screw in the oil drain plug with a new gasket. Tightening torques: 35–45 Nm.
5. Fill the engine with the required amount of engine oil.
Engine oil capacity:
- Engines 2.0/ 1.8 l
- Without changing the oil filter: 3.5 l
- With oil filter change: 3.7 l
- Engine 1.6 l
- Without oil filter change: 3.0 l
- With oil filter change: 3.3 l
- Diesel engine 2.0 l
- Without oil filter change: 5.4 l
- Oil filter: 0.5 l
- With oil filter change: 5.9 l
Warning: Do not overfill the oil, as this will cause the oil to foam and reduce the pressure in the lubrication system.
6. Install the cap on the oil filler neck.
7. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
8. Check the engine oil level and top it up if necessary.
