Caution: When changing engine oil, be careful because the oil is hot and can cause burns.
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and turn it off.
2. Stop the engine.
3. Remove the oil filler cap and unscrew the oil drain plug from the oil pan. Wait until all the oil has drained from the oil pan.
4. Screw in the oil drain plug with a new gasket.
Tightening torques: 35–45 Nm
5. Fill the engine with the required amount of engine oil.
Engine oil capacity:
Without changing the oil filter:
- engines 1.1 l: 2.8 l
- engines 1.3, 1.5, 1.6 l: 3.0 l
With oil filter replacement:
- engines 1.1 l: 3.1 l
- engines 1.3, 1.5, 1.6 l: 3.3 l
6. Install the cap on the oil filler neck.
7. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
8. Turn off the engine, check the engine oil level and, if necessary, top it up to normal.
