Removal
1. Remove the timing belt.
2. Remove all oil pan mounting bolts.
3. Remove the oil pan.
4. Unscrew 2 bolts and remove the mesh oil filter with the oil pump oil inlet pipe.
5. Remove the front cover (oil pump housing).

Examination
1. Check the front cover for wear or damage where it contacts the oil pump gears and replace it if necessary.
2. Check the front sealing ring for wear or damage to the working edges.
3. Check the oil pan for cracks or damage and replace it if necessary.
4. Check the oil filter mesh for cracks or damage and replace it if necessary.
5. Check the pump gear contact surfaces for damage or wear.
6. Check the oil pump gear teeth for wear or damage.
7. Using a feeler gauge, measure the clearance between the outer gear of the oil pump and the socket in the pump housing.
Radial clearance between the outer diameter of the outer gear and the socket in the pump body, 0.120–0.185 mm
8. Use a feeler gauge to measure the gap between the teeth of the oil pump gears.
Gap between gear teeth: 0.025–0.069 mm

9. Check the clearance between the ends of the gears and the plane of the pump body.
Clearance between the ends of the gears and the plane of the pump body, mm:
- external gear: 0.04-0.09
- internal gear: 0.040-0.085

10. Check the free movement of the plunger of the pressure reducing valve in the seat of the pump body.
11. Check the pressure reducing valve spring for deformation and broken coils.
Valve spring length, mm:
- in free state: 46.6
- under load 6.1 kg: 40.1
Installation
1. Install the outer and inner gears of the oil pump into the front cover, after aligning the installation marks.

2. Install the oil pump cover and secure it with bolts. After tightening the bolts, make sure the gears turn easily and smoothly.
Tightening torque: 8–12 Nm
3. Install the relief valve plunger, spring and screw in the plug, tightening it to the required torque. Before installation, lubricate the relief valve with engine oil.
Tightening torque: 40–50 Nm
4. Install the front cylinder block cover with a new gasket and tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 20–27 Nm

Bolt length, mm: A: 30 B: 45 C: 60 D: 22
5. Using tool 09214–21100, install the sealing ring.

6. Install the oil intake with mesh filter.
7. Clean the mating surfaces of the oil pan and cylinder block from any remaining old gasket.
8. Apply a continuous bead of sealant into the oil pan flange groove. Around the bolt holes, place the sealant on the inside.

Attention!
- The thickness of the sealant layer should be about 4 mm.
- After applying the sealant, install the oil pan within 15 minutes.
10. Install the oil pan on the cylinder block and secure with bolts. Tightening torque: 10–12 N·m
