Withdrawal
1. Remove the toothed belt.
2. Turn out all bolts of fastening of the oil pallet.
3. Remove the oil pan.
4. Turn out 2 bolts and remove the mesh oil filter with an oil receiving pipe of the oil pump.
5. Remove the front cover (oil pump housing).
Examination
1. Check the front cover for wear or damage where it contacts the oil pump gears and replace if necessary.
2. Check the front O-ring for wear or damage to the sealing lips.
3. Check the oil pan for cracks or damage and replace if necessary.
4. Check the oil strainer for cracks or damage and replace if necessary.
5. Check pump gear contact surfaces for damage or wear.
6. Check for wear or damage to the oil pump gear teeth.
7. Use a feeler gauge to measure the clearance between the oil pump outer gear and the socket in the pump housing.
Radial clearance between the outer diameter of the outer gear and the socket in the pump housing, 0.120–0.185 mm
8. Using a feeler gauge, measure the gap between the teeth of the oil pump gears.
Gap between gear teeth: 0.025–0.069 mm
9. Check the clearance between the ends of the gears and the plane of the pump casing.
Clearance between the ends of the gears and the plane of the pump housing, mm:
- outer gear: 0.04–0.09
- inner gear: 0.040–0.085
10. Check the free play of the pressure reducing valve plunger in the pump housing seat.
11. Check the pressure reducing valve spring for deformation and broken coils.
Valve spring length, mm:
- free: 46.6
- under load 6.1 kg: 40.1
Installation
1. Install the outer and inner gears of the oil pump in the front cover, after aligning the alignment marks.
2. Install the oil pump cover and secure it with bolts. After tightening the bolts, check that the gears turn easily and smoothly.
Tightening torque: 8–12 Nm
3. Install the pressure reducing valve plunger, spring and tighten the plug to the required torque. Lubricate the relief valve with engine oil before installation.
Tightening torque: 40–50 Nm
4. Establish a forward cover of the block of cylinders with a new lining and tighten bolts of fastening the demanded moment.
Tightening torque: 20–27 Nm
Bolt length, mm: A: 30 B: 45 C: 60 D: 22
5. Using drift 09214-21100, install the O-ring.
6. Install oil pickup with strainer.
7. Clean the mating surfaces of the oil pan and cylinder block from the remnants of the old gasket.
8. Apply a continuous coat of sealant to the oil pan flange groove. Place the sealant around the bolt holes on the inside.
Attention!
- The thickness of the sealant layer should be about 4 mm.
- Install the oil pan within 15 minutes after applying the sealant.
10. Establish the oil pallet on the block of cylinders and fix with bolts. Tightening torques: 10–12 Nm
