Coolant pump.
1 - alternator drive belt, 2 - power steering pump drive belt, 3 - coolant pump pulley, 4 - crankshaft pulley, 5 - alternator adjusting bar, 6 - upper timing belt cover, 7 - lower timing belt cover, 8 - timing belt.
Removal
1. Drain the coolant.
Note: To avoid burns, do not remove the radiator cap or expansion tank cap while the engine is hot, as the fluid and steam are under pressure.
2. Disconnect the coolant supply pipe from the coolant pump.
3. Remove the alternator drive belt and coolant pump pulley.
4. Remove the timing belt covers, timing belt and timing belt tensioner roller.
5. Loosen the coolant pump mounting bolts, then remove the generator adjusting bar.
6. Remove the coolant pump assembly from the cylinder block.
Examination
1. Check the pump for cracks, damage or wear. Replace the coolant pump assembly if necessary.
2. Check the bearing for damage, excessive noise during operation and slow rotation, and replace the coolant pump assembly if necessary.
3. Check the pump for coolant leaks through the seals. Replace the coolant pump assembly if necessary.
4. Check the pump for coolant leaks. If there are coolant leaks, the seal assembly is faulty. Replace the coolant pump assembly.

Installation
1. Remove any remaining old gasket from the mating surfaces of the coolant pump and cylinder block.
2. Install a new O-ring into the groove on the front of the coolant inlet pipe, then apply a small amount of water or coolant to the gasket. Do not apply grease or oil.

3. Install the coolant pump together with a new gasket and tighten the pump mounting bolts to the cylinder block to the specified torque.
- Tightening torque: 20-27 Nm

4. Install the timing belt tensioner and timing belt. Adjust the timing belt tension, then install the belt covers.
5. Install the coolant pump pulley and alternator drive belt, then adjust the belt tension.
6. Fill the cooling system with coolant.
7. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks
