Removal
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Disconnect the fan motor connector and disconnect the wiring harness from the retainer on the fan shroud.
3. (Models with automatic transmission) Disconnect the automatic transmission fluid cooler hoses from the radiator.
4. Remove the four fan casing mounting bolts.

5. Remove the fan housing together with the fan motor.

6. Remove the fan retainer and disconnect the fan impeller from the fan motor.
7. Loosen the three motor mounting screws and remove the motor from the fan casing.
Examination
Radiator Fan Motor
1. Check that the radiator electric fan rotates when battery voltage is applied to the electric motor terminals.

2. Check for any extraneous noise when the radiator electric fan rotates.
Radiator Fan Motor Relay
1. Remove the relay (High and Low mode) of the radiator fan motor from the relay box in the engine compartment.

2. Check for a closed circuit between terminals "2" and "4" of the relay using an ohmmeter.

Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
- Make sure there is no contact between the fan and its casing after installation.
- After installation, check for any extraneous noise or vibration when the fan rotates.
