1 - Cooling system outlet pipe (for upper radiator hose), 2 - Cooling system inlet pipe (for lower radiator hose), 3 - Thermostat, 4 - Coolant temperature sensor, 5 - Heater hose nipple, 6 - Gasket, 7 - O-ring gasket, 8 - Cooling system inlet pipe, 9 - O-ring gasket.


Removal



1. Drain the coolant.

Note: To avoid burns, do not remove the radiator cap or expansion tank cap while the engine is hot, as the fluid and steam are under pressure.




2. Remove the cooling system hoses and pipes.

3. If necessary, remove the thermostat housing and the cooling system supply pipe.

Examination



Check the cooling system hoses and tubes for cracks, damage or deposits on their inner walls. Replace if necessary.

Installation



1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

2. When installing, pay attention to the installation operation of the cooling system supply pipe.
  • a) Put the O-ring on the coolant inlet pipe, apply some coolant or water to its outer surface, and then install the pipe in place.

Note:
  • Do not allow engine oil or grease to come into contact with the surface of the O-ring gasket of the coolant pipe.
  • Do not allow sand, dust, etc. to enter the connection points of the cooling system supply pipe.
  • Insert the coolant supply pipe into the coolant pump until it stops.
  • Do not install a used O-ring. Replace the removed O-ring with a new one.

3. After installation is complete, fill with coolant.
