Removal
1. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the coolant.
2 Remove the accessory drive belt and automatic tensioner.
3. Remove the timing belt covers, timing belt automatic tensioner and timing belt idler pulley.
4. Loosen the coolant pump mounting bolts.
5. Remove the coolant pump assembly from the cylinder block.
Examination
1. Check each part for cracks, damage or wear, and replace the coolant pump assembly if necessary.
2. Check the bearing for damage, excessive noise during operation and slow rotation, and replace the coolant pump assembly if necessary.
3. Check the pump for coolant leaks from the seal assembly. Replace the coolant pump assembly if necessary.
Installation
1. Remove any remaining old gasket from the mating surfaces of the coolant pump and cylinder block.
(The original can be found on the resource hyundaibook.ru)

2. Install the coolant pump with a new gasket and tighten the pump mounting bolts to the specified torque.
- Tightening torque: 15-22 Nm

3. Install the automatic tensioner, idler pulley and timing belt. Adjust the timing belt tension, then install the timing belt covers.
4. Install the automatic tensioner and the accessory drive belt, then adjust the belt tension with the automatic tensioner.
5. Fill the cooling system with clean coolant.
6. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
