The electric windows operate when the ignition switch is in the "ON" position. The main window switches are located in the driver's door armrest. They control the front and rear window switches on both sides of the vehicle. The windows can be opened and closed by pressing the appropriate window switch.

To open the driver's door glass, press switch 1 halfway down (Fig. 1.64).

The window will lower as long as the switch is pressed. To lower the driver's window fully automatically, press switch 1 all the way down. In automatic window operation, the window will lower fully even if the switch is released. To stop the window at the desired position, pull up and release the switch.

To lock the window lifters, a window lifter locking switch 2 is provided in the driver"s door armrest (Fig. 1.65).

To deactivate the windows, press the lock switch. To return to normal operation of the windows, press the lock switch again (Fig. 1.66).

Note: After the ignition key is turned to the ACC (Accessory), LOCK (Lock) position or removed from the ignition switch, the power windows will operate for 30 seconds. If the front doors are opened during these 30 seconds, the power windows will not operate unless the ignition key is turned to the ON position.


Warning! Before using the window lift, make sure that the rising window will not pinch your head, hands, fingers, etc. Do not press the main and auxiliary window lift switches in opposite directions at the same time. Otherwise, the window will stop and will not be able to close or open. Do not leave a child unattended in the car. Do not leave the car without removing the key from the ignition.
