Caution: When wiping the inside surface of the rear window, use only a soft cloth and wipe the glass carefully along the wires of the glass heater so as not to damage them.
Note: The rear window defroster only operates when the engine is running.
Windshield de-icer (Hyundai Santa Fe CM)

If the car is equipped with a windshield de-icer, the latter is switched on for a while when the rear window heating is switched on. The de-icer helps to free the windshield wipers from ice in winter.
